Description "Pinpod" is a nickname given to the ex-interdimensional conqueror race of the Endborn universe. The original species name is "Durach"

These are two of the most central characters of the species, Krik Gerlib, and Triffid Bonx. They're siblings. The correct human term would be that they're brothers, though the species are evolved from a multi gendered fungus-like life form.
Five genders remain: The Gerlib, Bonx, Seen, Geluk, and Seringa.
They use their genders as surnames. The Gerlib are the shortest and most violent of them. They're mostly cowardly opportunists who seek out powerful friends just to be able to do as they wish. Their intellect matches that of the common human.
The Bonx are the biggest, and dumbest of the genders. They're all sterile, and often grown with severe deformations. No legs, missing arm(s) and an odd number of eyes being the most common of them. They also have only one row of teeth/facial roots.
Until their technology developed far enough to make them artificial limbs, they mostly stayed at the same spot their entire lives.
The Seen are the tallest and smartest of the genders. They're usually very arrogant and are mostly put in science and tech development positions. They're also the most popular among the species' ambassadors, as they get along well (better than the Gerlib and Bonx) with other species.
A Seen leader once decided that all genders should have their own military and science guild to lessen discrimination between the genders;
an idea that ridiculed after the Bonx chief scientist invented the wheel as they were conquering their 167'th world in hyper-advanced interdimensional space ships.
The Geluk are all mutes, as they have no teeth to speak with. Instead they communicate using bright rapid flashes of colorful light with luminous glands mounted where their teeth should be. The other genders also have this gland, but it only causes their teeth to faintly glow in the dark.
Geluk are mostly assigned to computers and paperwork.
And finally there's the Seringa, the "Mothertrees". When a Geluk, or a Seen in some occasions, reaches maturity, they may chose to set roots permanently.
When they do, a matured Gerlib, or Seen can impregnate them with spores from within their head. This causes the individual to die within seconds, and the Seringa's brain ceases to function as the body starts to focus a 100% on growing new pods that will later fall to the ground and sprout into new young Durach.
The gender-to-gender ratio of the newgrown depends on what genders chose to give their lives to the new mothertree. Wether it's a Geluk or Seen that chose to become the mothertree is mostly irrelevant to the outcome, but the Seen mothertrees have a slightly bigger chance of seeds falling to the ground too quickly. Few of them survives this, but those who does, become Bonx.

And I'm done with PNG files. The thumbnails look like crap, the small view looks like crap, and the full view looks like crap if the displayed size is smaller than the size of the original uploaded file.
The PNG file is a cool, but poorly made creation.

Thanks

I'm gonna have to recolor this one eventually, as I'm planning to draw all the characters from my story and pose them together in one image. This coloring style donsen't go along with the one I've chosen for the future drawings.

Great work, as always. However - there is something about the colour that doesn`t feel right to me. Can`t put my finger on it, though, so it`s probably nothing important

Is it about the background panel? I was unsure about that for a while.

No, it`s not that - the background panel looks great. Like I said, I can`t put my finger on it, so it`s probably nothing. There`s just something that seems a bit off. I`ll have to look at it later, to see if I can tell then

Could it be the color imbalance? Like, warm and clearer colors on Krik, and colder and less clear colors on Triffid?
