Description
There are several elasmerians, a clade of basal ornithopod dinosaurs. Many are around the size of a cat. A common and larger genus is Askaulosaurus, the bagpipe lizard. There are two species in these forests, but this genus can be found throughout the mountains of Arvel, with each species making their own distinctive songs. The air from their lungs is pushed into a pair of resonating chambers, first in their throats then in a complex sinus apparatus. As they can store are in their throat and push it into their sinuses while inhaling to replenish, the songs of Askaulosaurus can persist without break for inhalation for minutes at a time.
