I know a lot of people told me on the YamiHime Beauty and the Beast deviation that Ulquiorra should have been the Beast instead of Yami. The thing is, while I see UlquiHime as a "Beauty and the Beast-esque" pairing, I don't actually see it as Beauty and the Beast itself.

I think it fits MUCH better with Phantom of the Opera, in actual story points and in the tone...since, you know, UlquiHime isn't exactly going to end all rainbows and unicorns. T_T

I had a hard time deciding who should be Raoul: Ichigo or Ishida. I feel like Ishida would fit the role better, but in the end I chose Ichigo, ONLY because Orihime really does have feeling for him in canon. I guess you can imagine Ishida as the alternate for Ichigo for Raoul's role when he's sick or something.

For people who have only watched the Broadway version and are going, "Who the heck is the Persian?" Well, he's in the novel as well as Susan Kay's Phantom novel. In both books, he's Erik's only true friend, and see, I wanted Yami in here and the role just works so well that I just went "Screw it!" and put him in here even though he's not in the musical.

All the costumes they are wearing come from the stage version and NOT the movie because the movie sucked major ass. Don't get me wrong, I liked it when it first came out because I had never watched the stage version, only listened to the cast recordings. Then I got to see it on stage a year later and...well, the movie just cannot compare. At all.

The only exception to this is Nnoitra's Buquet outfit. Sadly, there aren't really that many images I could find of Buquet to begin with, let alone from the stage version. T_T So he's stuck with movie clothes.

And TREA's the monkey because I like torturing him. XDDDDD
