At first I was attracted to this photo because of the dark Alice in Wonderland type imagery, and also I'm interested in anything featuring a vintage-looking or just plain cool doll. My perception of this photo draws from the feeling of never being able to be a part of somethingβthe girl can't enter the house; the lights are on, there are probably people inside together. And she relies on one-way companions, like the doll.

reminds me of this really cheesy cult version movie called "Alice" which was badly dubbed and had a whack of stop-motion animation. The house in particular reminds me of it

this is so wonderfully emotive and nicely composed. I like how the arm clutches at the doll. since you can't see the girl's face, the mood becomes more poignant and rather haunting.

yes very nice composistion, but I have a problem with the windows of the house, I feel that the are too bright, like if you just pasted white squares over the windows in ps.
