Went back and somehow noticed I never commented on this. I absolutely adore it. It IS Ecthelion to me, more than any other representation of him I've seen. All the little details on the clothing and whatnot are beautiful as well. Just perfect.

Haha, Tolkien never stated his actual personality, but judging from the fact that he's a flautist, a warrior, and a well-loved elf, I gather he's a pretty decent guy

I do not know much about the Fountain of the King, but really, I'd think Ecthelion wouldn't appreciate it when he drowns in a fountain, lord of o it or no.

wow so beautiful!!! it's one of those things that almost strikes me as heartbreakingly sad, even though the picture itself isn't sad. Maybe it's just the knowledge of what happens to him that makes it feel that way.
