Description
Next month Claudia was getting ready to go to the wagon.  She needed to ware her ceremonial dress for this was a big event.  To believe, she was changing the world!  Well, at least she will finally get to test her skills out in the wild.  She and her friends were going to sit in the nice wagon, along with what few guards were coming.  The guards were mostly couples who couldn't have children.  There were also a few “unofficial” caravans that were “unofficially” tagging along.
“Claudia” said her mom from the other side of the door, “your friends are waiting for you.” Her new ceremonial sword and shield were hanging next to her door, as were her bow, quiver, and her violin with ocarina pendant attached.  They were passed down through the generations of her family until it finally came to her at the age of ten.  Now, fifteen, she was very good at playing it.  It was her secret passion.  Natalie liked to use the ocarina pendant.  And they were very good together.
“One moment, mom, I'm almost ready!”  She put on the rest of her gear and looked at her self in her mirror.  Satisfied, she went downstairs and ate a little snack before going outside.  When she got out she met with her mother first, and behind her was a very large crowd.  Behind that was her caravan, and behind that were several other caravans.  She got much more support than she expected from the city counsel.  There were several priests carrying incense, and many bundles were packed along as well.  On the rather large wagon she felt like she was going to get lost in the wagon itself.  With a few last goodbyes, they left.  She didn't let her friends know, but she was really nervous and wanted to stay home.  She wanted her mom.

After several days of rather dull travel, they came to the edge of charted territory.
“This is it, people” said the navigator.  “The edge of civilization, the cursed woods.  Claudia, Natalie, come here.”  The two girls almost exploded out of their seats with anticipation.  “Girls, you two must be the first to step beyond the border.  After that, the wagons will follow you.  You are going to be the pace makers, so go at a speed at which wont be too fast or too slow.  You will also be deciding where to camp, as well.  Ok, EVERYBODY ELSE!!  THE ORDER BEHIND THE GIRLS IS GOING TO BE THEIR FRIENDS MIXED WITH THE GAURDS.  THEN THE MAIN WAGON, WEAPON WAGONS, AND SUPPORTING WAGONS.  GOT IT??”  Claudia and Natalie went when they were supposed to, and entered the woods.  It got very quiet very quickly.  Not even the birds were chirping.  They walked on for a few drawn out hours.  Then Claudia got an idea.
“Natalie, get your ocarina” she said quickly, and went to get her own violin.  She returned to the front.  Natalie also returned.
“What is it?” Asked Natalie.
“Just play along with me” she said.  Then she started playing a very quick, very lively tune that she made up as she went.  It was rather very good.  Natalie got the idea and started on her ocarina.  The spirit of the forest lightened, suddenly, and the birds started chirping.  The caravan people very slowly stated to dance along inside their wagons.  Then a guitar joined in.  Then a trumpet.  And a cello, and a recorder, and when they finally made camp, it was like they had a full orchestra, and everybody was dancing very lively.  And the girls were the center of it.  Not just Claudia and Natalie, but every other girl.  The whole forest was dancing.  The air itself was dancing.  And it slowly weaned off.  Eventually it became a lullaby.  And Claudia and Natalie were also the last ones playing.  They fell asleep with their instruments in their hands.

The music last night was the talk of the whole camp.  Nobody knew how, or why, but there seemed to be a sort of  magic about the music.  Everybody was in a good mood, and felt very well rested.  Everybody had lots of energy, and were able to finish preparations very quickly.  The kitchen wagon was giving out very big, tasty, and filling plates of pancakes.  People were talking over their plates, some with full mouths.  Claudia and Fluffy were talking about how she came up with the music.
“...And so when I got over the sinus headache, I had the idea” she finished.
“Wow.  So what was your favorite part?  Mine was the part where the cello was duh, duh duhhhhhhhhh!”  Claudia giggled.
“I thought that part was funny, though my favorite part was where the trumpet was all, BLEAHHHHHH!”  They laughed, and sighed.  They looked very deeply at each other.  They closed their eyes and the distance between their faces started closing.  They were very close, then the cook yelled, “SOUPS ON!!!!  LAST CALL!!!!”  They very quickly looked away from each other, each blushing slightly.
“Umm, I gotta go, umm... finish my breakfast!” lied Claudia.
“Umm, so do I!” said Fluffy.  They went their separate ways.  Natalie, who was in her human sized form, was with her boyfriend, kissing very lightly when Beau poked his head in.  they quickly separated.
“The Wagonmaster is looking for you, Natalie” he said.  “says something about 'not being able to reach a small part that fell in a hole' or something like that.  You should hurry, he seemed pissed.”  Natalie hurried to get up and shrank in to her true form.
“I'll be right back, Jason” she said.  And she was off to help the Wagonmaster.
