Turns out I made a historical booboo o.O .

Technically, I am not wrong. The "Regency" period tends to refer to the period between the 1700s and the Victorian era, but that is if the term is used loosely. Specifically, the [British] Regency refers to a much earlier time than I thought, 1811-1820. AS would be around the more loosely-termed Regency, but it would be during the later period which wouldn't fit with the above fashion trend as displayed (though it is off by only a year).

The Regency Flash dress-up dolls are pretty fun, if rather limited in options to provide for your characters. However, it was worth a shot Some characters are closer to their original design, while others are hilariously off (Servo himself, for instance ). Most of these were made by me, but ~SirChristopher made Henry and Emmanuel. For who's who, look at the disclaimer below.

Go try it out

The clothing looks funtional, except for those top hats the guys are wearing. I wonder why they caught on so? Military head wear fassion was even more un-funtional during this time.

I have always wondered about clothing of this period. Clothing certainly became for then a shealter from the elements.

I always like top hats. Something about that timeless classy look to them... plus they're manly .

I thought the Regency period is a good time to go into costume research, in between Baroque-Roccocco and Victorian. I see those two in art very often, but Regency, not so much, and everytime there is a look into it, it's often in reference to Jane Austen. Which is sad, because there are plenty other major events during this time.
