I'd like to read a good fanfic or see an episode about Glimmer and Trixie going on a tour for a week around Equestria doing magic shows and having fun. That would explain why can't Starlight be with Twilight and the rest of the gang for many current episodes. That or Starlight just isn't comfortable to join the mane 6 shenanigans yet. Β

Also Starlight is the best friend Trixie could ever wish for. Starlight has so much magic ability. Anything Trixie thinks up doing for her stage show Starlight could wip up a spell to make it even bigger and better! They're the perfect pair! And I think Trixie is the first pony to truly appreciate and show gratitude for Starlight's magic. I bet that means a lot to Starlight since her special talent is magic.Β

Great analysis of both Starlight and Trixie. I think it was mentioned on the show or elsewhere Starlight's magic may be more powerful than Twilight's, but without friendship and love she is actually quite weak. It's wonderful to see Starlight learning to be giving and forgiving, faults and all.

Yeah, both Trixie and Sunburst benefit from Starlight's magic while adding a bit of their own flair, which makes it a nice symbiotic relationship (and weens Starlight from the whole power-hungry thing). It lets Starlight be herself without being overbearing and maniacal lol

At the end of season 5, I was dubious about adding a main character, but I have to say that Starlight Glimmer has been a breath of fresh air for the show. In fact, she's quickly becoming my favorite character. I'm very pleased by how much life she's bringing to the show. For example, without her commentary "Second Prances" would have been painful--but with Starlight's punchy lines ("Thanks for asking that in a completely non-creepy way...") it was brilliant.

Yeah, she's definitely warming up to me, and I enjoy her wit. It's especially nice to watch her interact with the other characters, too.
That said, I kind of hope she meets up with Sunset one day. I think the two would find a lot in common
