Description Mwhahaha - I completed this piece in under 4 hours!

First time I gave myself a time limit on something. Not perfect of course, but it was good for practise and taught me a lot about light sources and painting in important details to pull the piece together, without faffing about with the little bits that take me hours

It's pretty rough, but thought I'd submit it as it came out well for the time constraint, I think .

Time: 3-4 hours
Programs: Photoshop CS3 and Corel Painter 3

the blue in the skin tones is so beautiful, but the lightness of the entire eye just makes them stand out as the best part of this peice.

Very good! Right now I'm learning to paint in Photoshop. I can do scenery pretty well but I'm scared to try painting in my line work for characters. I gotta do it eventually, though.

Oooh, learning to digital paint is a lot of fun and very rewarding! I actually use Corel Painter Essentials 3 to do most of my digital painting - I personally find that it's much easier to blend the tones and such. I haven't mastered the art of Photoshop painting myself .
