Description Yarr! One of several pieces I've been working on. Random doodle that turned into a non-doodle. The dragons and setting itself is not what I focused on. Mostly lighting and volume, but I suppose it got a little lost in itself. I suppose the idea is that the dragons are climbing the steps from their domain to the world outside. Just practice to build up for greater things, I feel I need it.

(Avast! It's talk like a pirate day! Booty and scurvy be 'on ye!)

Enjoy. Yarr!

That looks so epic! What's cool is not only are there lots of dragons, but each one looks very distinct and all very powerful. Great job!

I had trouble getting the idea of behind them was down. All the pieces were there, so when I read the description it was oh, yeah.

Wow, amazing what doodles can become if given enough attention.

The hyper-doodle is a wierd and sometimes wonderfull phenomenon. If you walk in a dark forest at night with your tablet, you can sometimes spot it eating deatails off the trees.

You read Bone ever?

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Imson In reply to clamchowda [2007-09-21 10:07:22 +0000 UTC]

That I have. Only the first two books though. Now that you mention it, there was a dreamsequence with a dragon cave at some point. It's been a few years since I read them though. The picture isn't related to Bone as far as I know.

It just reminded me of Tanen Gard, the Dragon's Stair, is why I ask.

But now that you mention it, it is similar to a couple of Thorn's dream sequences too.

It can be talk like a pirate day anywhere. All you must do is embrace it.

That said, I typically forget about holidays that aren't Christmas and Halloween.

Hahaha!! Yes it can. Don't know why I didn't think of that earlier.....but I don't really remember any other holidays besides halloween and christmas too.

Actually, I once forgot my own birthday, even. I thought it was Christmas, in blind defiance of the fact that it was June.

Hahaa wow....I haven't done that.....not yet at least. Oh well thinking that it was christmas was still a good thing.

Yeah, but it sort of confused me when I noticed there were barely enough presents to go around.

I love the contrast and texture. Azure/Cyan is my favorite brilliant color :3

I think everyone loves doodles turned non-doodle.

And... that's neat, because we had a talk-like a pirate day as well here... cool. xD

I figured a glowing light would be more interesting that a black void. Though I can't really explain why it's there. Either it's some magic, or the dragons have invested in neon-tubes. In any case, it can't be good for their eyes :\

Don't really *love* non-doodles, as It doesn't feel like a 'roduct' I can be proud of. Good practice though :9

And the pirate thing. I just heard from someone on the net and tagged along. First I've heard of it, but I'll be damned if I won't capitalise on the chance to talk like a pirate. Yarr!

Brilliance. xD Neon tubes, and pirates.

But still, I find this is a pretty nice sketch-a-doodle.
I guess it's just my love for the scaly things. 'w'

But Mr. Sqawkface be eaten! (With the delicious flavour of ostich). Be this a ghost that warns me of peril? By the handhatshark! Could the vessils that clog the nostils of doom not be enough to handle the crabthwaddling evil of the hairy void?! By the crumbs in blackbreards name! Raise anchor! Load the cannons! Drink the rum! Blow the man down! Shiver whatever timbers ye can find! Mam will be avenged! ... Parrot.

Epic stairwalking that is.Could be an idea to show what happens at the surface, but then, it's only a doodle. .. or rather a hyper-doodle. Probably a better idea to try something different.
