This was completely random to be honest. I spent yesterday sketching at random. After a bit of frustration, I decided to challenge myself with a photo.I picked Shigeru Miyamoto. Fitting considering it was his birthday two days ago and the Wii U arriving in stores.
Probably one of the better reference paintings I've done, most of it came together very naturally. A fun homage to one of the people that have inspired me the most. Happy belated birthday good sir.

Oh...wow! This is almost like a photograph! The fingers are maybe not as well-rendered as they could've been--or maybe that's just how the lighting in the photo was?--but this is overall some great work here!
