Description Doing a photo series of homeless people holding signs jabbing at the photo community. Should be interesting to hear peoples reactions lol.

But I find it sort of offensive to use these people for your portfolio, so I couldn't think of any better way to bring up that topic by using them for my portfolio. I am not sure why I am compelled to do these things, but it is interesting to me.Β

What do you think?

Good point to raise since we all live in a society that makes us feel good by just thinking good deedsΒ

This one is so good .Β  You do seem photos of homeless people sleeping or begging and wonder what happened to them after the photo was taken.
It sort of reminds me of that photographer who took the photo of the dying child in Africa, and just let him get devoured afterward.Β  Though it's an extreme case, it's the same concept I feel.

I think it's important to call attention to the plight of the homeless - I love your idea. It IS interesting and I would hope it would make someone pause and think about helping the dude out next time you cross paths with him (or ANY homeless person - ahem, especially our veterans).

I'm glad you gave them something for it. I always feel for homeless people and I see the blatant discrimination that they must have to live with and I hate it. They're people too. People who used to have families and jobs and homes. And society makes so many assumptions about them, it makes me sick.

Creative use of irony to draw attention to social issues. I think it's a great idea.

Within this contradiction, I guess it's a good idea. In broad terms, I'm against people being photographed for being different
