Tent Pegging is a sport of cavaliers with roots going back centuries. The exact origins of the sport are not known but it is claimed that the sport dates back to 326 BC in the North Western province of Afghanistan. There are two widely accepted theories about the term “tent pegging”. One that it was a training tool for the cavaliers in India. They were trained to stab the sensitive part of the war elephant’s foot behind the toenail. This caused the enemy elephants to run back into their own ranks and trample infantry. The second theory is that cavaliers practiced tent pegging to use it in a surprise dawn attack on enemy camps. Pulling the tent pegs of enemy tents caused the tents to collapse and cause chaos.

I liked that shot the most.
In our part of the world .. the Turban is a mark or symbol or respect and disrespect of the Turban is a loss of honour.
I remember the commentator made a remark that the guy who lost his Turban was fined Rs 2,000 for losing it.

No safety gear at all ... This is a sport of warriors ..  "Real men dont wear saftey head gear" ... LOL
