the rules:
1. Use photomanipulation to create a fantasy animal. This can be a fantasy animal you know from fairytales, legends or mythology, or you can create something from your own imagination. Wild imagination is strongly encouraged!
♦All animals are accepted: mammals, cold-blooded, reptiles, birds, insects, water and underwater animals etc. You can also make giant animals, anthro characters (without human head, but can be human expressions), and strange non-existent hybrids, cartoon style!
♦We will NOT allow creatures with human heads (mermaids, centaurs, harpies, sphinxes, gorgons, etc.).
♦Presence of background is necessary
2. IMPORTANT:
♦You can NOT use a photo of the sculpture of same fantasy animal, or toy of same fantasy animal. It is okay to use a photo as a reference, but you must use it ONLY as a reference. You must create your fantasy-animal as a composite of photographs of other objects and you can create you fantasy animal from own photos of different real animals.
For example, to create a dragon - you can not use a sculpture or figurine or a toy dragon (except your own handmade figure, for example from clay).
♦Ok use own photos of the real animals, but you must add significant details to transform this into a fantasy-creature
3. You have to use ONLY your own resources. All photos must be your own. You must use AT LEAST 5 photos. Painting over is allowed.
Own photos in separate file on sta.sh or in scraps add link in your description (example)
4. No D.A watermark, just your little signature.
5. Submit your entry to the group's contest folder no later than 11:59 PM PDT on July 1.
6. Artwork must be created specifically for this contest.
7. We accept only Photomanipulation and Mixed Media.
8. Must include a link to this journal in the description.
9. You have to be member of the group Independent-Manips to enter. Anyone can join!
Prizes will include
1st place - 3 months core membership and 1,000 from Incantata
2nd place - 3 months core membership and 500 from Incantata
3rd place - 1 month core membership and 500 from Incantata
