Description
The striking underside of this butterfly comprise five or six silver lines broadly edged with dark red on a pale yellow background. The species has two pairs of white-tipped tails and an orange tornal area on the hindwings.


Habitat & Habits
The Long-banded Silverline is uncommon in Singapore, usually seen in the mid-morning hours on flowering plants. A favorite is the Mile-a-Minute (Mikania micrantha) flowers.

Oh oh so cute! I think we've got the black ones in Taiwan but not those brown ones.
