Ang Hardin (The Garden)

can you see without eyes?

This took me a while to do, and it didn't come out the way I first envisioned it. Made me a bit hesitant to post, but, then again, why not?

The vison came from my memories of that really old Fairuza Baulk movie, Return to Oz, where there were headless stone maidens dancing in a garden or courtyard. The supposed "red fairy" was supposed to have a statue's body, with broken arms and dirtied marble, but I couldn't find a decent enough statue that matched the pose of the model, which was done brilliantly by ~ Nymphadora-stock

Instead I used the color red, which is a common symbol for passion and wrath, as the basis for the theme, with the subject apparently leaping out of the frame. And as I was touching up on the fairy, Weiland started belting out the chorus of Wicked Garden, hence the mouthless, eyeless, passion-enflamed heroine.

The title is in Filipino, and the heroine, after the alterations, came to be one of the mythical creatures popular in Philippine folklore, namely the manananggal, very much akin to a succubus, only with half a body, starting with the upper torso.
