[EDIT: changed Zombab's type from Ghost/Normal to just Ghost, and changed its ability from Rattled to Limber,,, because on closer inspection the original set up would actually be super broken :0 (limber because it moves its body through ghostly possession, and not actual muscle power) ]

Devoratanimus, fakeymon edition.
just for fun!

I wasted a lot of time on this nonsense. the dex entries are thoroughly abridged. I wrote about 5 times the amount seen here before pruning it.

You might think that I converted Devoratanimus lore a little too directly, or went with some pretty dark lore. then I remembered that we literally have have pokemon that burn your spirit for fuel, encase people in ice and use them as decorations for their lair, presumably eat other pokemon, and other stuff that they can only get away with including by putting it in the pokedex- because they know that the parents and very young kids won't bother to read the pokedex :V

Devoradrich is about as big as a tiger, and Zombab is roughly to-scale with Devoradrich.

I probably could have done more with these designs? maybe even gone down more of an actual zombie theme/partially skeletal route; but alas, im lazy and didn't think of it until I'd already entrenched myself in writing lore after the finalized sketch of Devoradrich :V

anyway here's Zombab I have never created a better name for literally anything before and I would shank a man just to hold one
also yes its canon now non-fakemon/normal Devoratanimus juveniles have that ridiculously cute mane on their backs like cheetah cubs

also on a different but related note, the lore for how these dorks work is actually pretty similar to how cannon Devoratanimus work? which kind of leads into a dilemma I've had with them since I chose to stick them in the spacebugkitty setting- and that's 'how souls do' in a setting where souls are not a thing. originally, when I'd first created Nimbus- Devoratanimus existed in a generic fantasy setting; hence the soul eating. however, then I decided that I wanted to use them for a proper story, and realized that that meant they'd need a proper setting for that story to take place in. the most developed setting I have is the spacebugkitty/pardusimia setting. problem is, that setting is kind of rather hard sci-fi, and already had a 'no souls or magic' stipulation attached. since then I've been fighting with myself over how much I should bend Devoratanimus to fit the setting, or alter the setting to fit Devoratanimus. and by this point, I definitely want them in the spacebugkitty setting, because their interaction with spacebugkitty morality is incredibly valuable to the story I want to tell.
