I love that you can't tell which way the soldier (which is actually me, thanks to a time delay shutter) is facing -- A triumphant hero coming out the sun, or a worried boy looking to an uncertain future.Related content

I really like the style you used, I'm curious if what rifle that is and if it functions though. It's a good picture to ponder it could mean either good or bad.

this is a very nice picture, and i just adore the light. It's sharp, just like the sadness of war but the hope is bigger than that. So much darkness, and just a stripe of light can make many man willing to die for something they may never witness. very good job
