Thank you! Although the couple leather masks you have posted here look very clean. What is it about your level of finish that is bothering you?

My edges never seem to take on a sheen and I still haven't found a good set of paints that cover properly and remain flexible. Also, your cut edges and mid points look very smooth! What do you use to cut your leather?

I use an exacto blade to do my cutting, and then I use an edging tool to round off the edges, front and back. I change my exacto blades often so they are nice and sharp, and cut the leather while it's wet. In the tight corners I can't fit the edging tool, I round off the edges by hand with the exacto. As for paint, I try to use dyes whenever possibly, but when it's not I use acrylics. It loses some flexibility, but I have a mask that's 5 years old that's been smooshed and thrown in boxes and bag, and it shows some wear at the bridge of nose, but nothing terrible.

Cool, I'll have a go at cutting when wet, never really thought of that Its possible to get flexible acrylics (fiebings do some I think) but the colours are pretty naff and require some good mixing. I'm going to have a go at mixing with latex acrylics and see what happens! Thanks for the tips
