Description
One of the last, real, Naga tribals living in a village near the Indo-China border - and reminiscing about his head-hunting days.I was fascinated by his stories, but so were the younger Nagas from his own village. So it seemed to me anyway, because this is the one time that they didn't take flight and hide from my camera!! Or maybe, they felt completely safe hanging around in the company of their village elder. Whichever reason it was, I am so glad they stayed put long enough for me to grab this pic....one of my treasures from Nagaland...

Stunning, the lighting the color and the children gathered around him, what a lucky person you are to have traveled to such distant lands and spoken with native peoples. This shot is worthy of National Geographic, excellent work.

Hi there.....thank you so much for your lovely comments. The Nagas are a wonderful community of people - some are extremely photogenic if only you could get them to hang around the camera for a bit!! Honestly, i just loved being with them. Have you ever been to this region of India??
