OMG! Okay, so I'm slow, so I don't know what this looked like before the sky was finished, but WOW this is fantastic! The colours are fantastic, the composition is really nice, and I really love the texture you gave it. It's obvious you poured a lot of love into this one; it really stands out!
If I may give one tiny little personal preference critique:
I realize you probably did it to tie the background and foreground together, but the fact that the water's so purple makes it a little... overly important to me? It somehow makes it very connected with Indi (figuratively) and at the same time it feels like it's just a nice part of the background. It's really pulling my eye over there. Do you kind of get what I mean?

I never thought about that for the water.. I just made it purple because the color theme was orange. And I thought it would help give a break from the intensity XD but you're totally right. Thanks for pointing that out! It is quite distracting

Eh... I can see where you're coming from. (And the purple and orange is definitely a great combo.) I'm sure there are people who'd argue your side. Maybe if you put a LITTLE purple on her right side as well? (Our left) So, kind of 'frame' it? I wouldn't do it equally... but.. Meh. I'm babbling

First, I absolutely lovelovelovelovelovelovelovelovelovelovelovelovelove and adore this! The coloring = FANTASTIC. I completely admire the way you color clouds! Astounding! Second, the shading/lighting-OH MAI GAWD. the lighting/shading brings out all the colors even more, and I FREAKIN' love that everything has, even just a little bit of, yellow light on it. & the shadow placement is awesome!/(correct, from what my lowly mortal eyes can tell!)
Anatomy/clothes: UGH, WHY?! WHY YOU SO AWESOME? Everything looks great and anatomacally correct/plausable.
Indigo's expression: Simple put: 'Come at me bro!'
Details/Layout/everyfreakinthingelse: As much as I love you for who you are as a person, I gotta say I also love you for your detailed work as an artist. Absolutely, positively 100%-ly I adore every detail. From little vines, to water highlights, to feathers, to blades of grass(I, for some reason, have an intense love for golden grass-like plants, like wheat. Imsuchaweirdo ;_; ) to the Striations on her leatherish wings, and well you get the point.

The feathers on Indi seem like something new though o3o is it, or did I just miss out on something? |D
I don't get how you get your color palette to be so...harmonious either o____o do you put a hue adjustment layer over top of the entire image, or do you fiddle around with the colors to make sure they're similar before you color?

Well the trick is to add the effects as you're coloring... there's also some color fiddle-ing, though normally the colors I use to shade are never the ones that end up being the color scheme. For example, I shaded this with dark blue, and the stone is actually a blue-hue rather than plain gray, and yet the color scheme is gold/yellow P: It looks better that way. I didn't use Hue here tho, I used low opacity of Color and Soft Light
