Description

During October, I did an art challenge (sorry I couldn’t show them until now, I had to travel to get them scanned).
The prompt ideas came from this- rubykgrant.tumblr.com/post/150…
I decided to make characters who were witches (and other types of magic users) that fit the themes. I also decided that I should make them all full-body designs, so I have more practice making poses as well as outfits.
I did these two as a pair since Orange and Black go together, and I knew I had to do something really special
for them (orange and black are the major Halloween colors, after all). I decided they should have opposite hair colors,
and once I got that in my head I knew what to do; have the hair braid/twist together in all the orange and black glory!
At first both were straight hair, but then I realized one should be curly. I wasn’t sure if I could make it look alright, but honestly…
I think it turned out beautiful. The girls match, but also have their own style and flair. These two have a strong sense
of duty and what is right, and are sort of seen as authority figures, but they are still very personable.
