Hey... Weasley (actually the spelling is Wesley, but Weasel discribes him best) your "New guy" looks WAY better and i think that your choice for Data is PERFECT!

I like it! Not too sure about Garret Hedlund though...he's just too cool to play little ol' Weasley! But I would still love to see him in there!

No.
Just no. Seriously, as much as I'd love to see the TNG characters back in action, they are really irreplaceable. Sure, you can do it with TOS frankly because they were all kind of bad actors (especially Shatner), but you CANNOT replace the talent or just iconic way the original cast played the parts. Honestly, Jean Luc Picard will forever be Patrick Stewart, Data will forever be Brent Spiner, and so forth. Irreplaceable.
And come on, you really think VAL KILMER COULD TAKE UP THE CHAIR FROM SIR PATRICK FUCKING STEWART?!?!?!

I'd choose Wil Wheaton to play Riker.

Can I just point out that Val Kilmer has let himself go a bit? Granted, he's still got a good voice (i.e. The Prince of Egypt), but he's porked up a bit.

I have heard of many people saying Tom Hiddleston looks like Data but I feel that no one could ever replace the original cast. Especially Brent Spiner & Patrick Stewart, they are both truly unique actors. However I think that if they were to bring back the TNG show these would be the guys to do it.

Wow, normally I don't think these make any sense but I'm on board with this one; a great line-up! They all have great resemblance to the actors with that modern look, especially Val Kilmer to Patrick Stewart - he's the right age now, & just needs to rehearse a proper english/frenchish accent, & to be given proper makeup to appear in the early stages of balding (Picard began balding by the time he was 25-30 if I remember correctly, & was used to the idea since he had regularly shaved his head in his youth. When he did start losing his hair, knowing even that there were several technologically advanced methods of restoration, he simply didn't care; & the type of women he attracted respected that decision immensely!). I haven't heard Tyrese Gibsons voice so he'd have to have a deep intimidating feel to it, but the rest I can just picture filling those roles perfectly.
I haden't even considered a TNG reboot yet with the TOS one still going on, but now it's an exciting prospect! If only we had some sort of ballot for this thing that CBS would actually pay attention to! Would love to see how the uniforms, ships & more advanced technology would be re-imagined! The Enterprise D would probably have been a triple-nacelled-spinal-phaser-lanced-dreadnaught from day one!
Thanks a lot, now I get to sit on my hands over this one =3
As for a bit of crit, some spell checking may be in order.
P.S. Thanks for not leaving out Natasha Yar, that adds an entire new level of epicness to this idea & I could already picture her meeting an untimely end in the first movie... & caring about it just like experiencing it all over again! On that note though, you should add segments for Nurse Ogowa, Q & Professor Moriarty; & somehow work in Malcolm McDowell & Christian Slater! If I were project lead it would be green lit the second they all signed on ;D

Wow! Thanks for the epicly long and amazing comment! Now, lets see... Val Kilmer, yes. It was my mom's idea and as soon as I saw him I knew he could be Jean Luc. Originally I was looking at Jennifer Conelly for Deanna but then I put her beside Tasha and saw she would be just perfect. Her face is right, she'd just have to wear a wig. Tyrese Gibson has shown he has a wide range for his voice before through his music so I think coupled with his natural fearceness he'd be great for Worf. When I looked for a Geordi I just put my finger over the actor's eyes. xD I wanted to add Q and O'Brien but I only had so much room. I might expand it later. Moritary would be fun to work in but maybe not for the first time. Perhapse as an easter egg in the background of a program rum by Data or something like that.
Augh, spelling. I have a naturally hard time with it. I'll check it over and fix it, thanks.
Thank you againg for the comment! Live Long and Prosper!

I've thought of that before but at the rate the Star Trek TOS remakes are going, a TNG remake is much more likely than a Anime.
Thanks for the comment! :3

No idea, but Kilmer just isn't Picard. He'd make a great Captain if they make a new ST series, yes, but not Picard.

I'm going to speak up for Wesley. In all honesty hr saved the ship maybe twice in 7 years. The writers did not know how to write for a younger character. "Pen Pal" and "First Duty" were the only times the character was handled correctly.

I've always really liked Wesley but then again I never thought of him as a Mary Sue. It's only when I began to join the online Star Trek fandom that I discovered he was/is greatly unliked. He's just a loveable kid to me.
Thanks for the feedback! ^^

For me, it might not be his "Mary Sue"-ishness as more that I don't really like kids in general ... Or maybe he was just like that kid at school who always knew everything and that you're always jealous of and so you don't like him. *gg* I did like Jake and Nog, though. Kind of.
