The next day it was time to set off. The horses were being saddled and everyone headed to the moutains to climb up to recieve the cows assigned to them to bring home.

Charlie had asked pretty much every single staffmember of SH about four times which way they would have to go and gotten himself around 5 different maps, in feat to get lost, while Jack took a whole more chilled approch to the whole thing.
"Don't worry.", he said, "If we'll lose our way, Trooper's gonna bring us home. He grew up here, afterall. And horses always find home. Who knows. Iuvencus might bring us all the way back to styria.", Jack laughed, trying to calm Charlie's nerves, who as per usual was worrieing way too much.

With their incredible number off cards and saddle bags filled with food provided by SH, two first aid kits, one for the horses, one for the humans, another kit including some tools and tails, along with a spare horseshoe, in case one of them would loose one, halters and ropes, two large bottles of water, two sleeping bags, around 3 different ways to light up a fire, Charlie's paranoid books about how to fend for yourself in the wild and use the stars and sun to navigate, a satelite phone, just in case, Jack's toothbrush and no pan they thought of themselves as pretty well suplied. Just that they didn't know about the forgotten pan, until it already was far too late.

Despite Charlie's fears they did not lose their way, but met a couple of other riders on their way having some nice chats with old friends like Lyo and Vidar from RPs and new people from all over the wold who had come to australia to enjoy this extraordinary challange.

When it was getting dark, they had reached their planned destination and while Jack already was looking forward to seeing the cows and bringing them home the next day, Charlie was pretty desperate to find the pan he was absolutely sure he had packed.
"I did put them into the bag, I know it.", he mumbled, while rumpaging through Iuvencus' saddle bag, the two horses meanwhile just watching their humans with the nild interest of animals already used to the strange antics of those two-legged people.

"Did you put it out again?", Charlie finally asked, Jack merely looking over his shoulder, while kneeing on the ground, his back turned, apparently preparing something with great enthusiasm.
"Why should I?"
"I don't know. I stopped questioning your motivations years ago. I mean. Why on earth did you bring your toothbrush? It's just a two days journey. In the wild.", Charlie returned somewhat frustrated.
"Because I care for the health of my teeth? Why do you always bring those books? I don't think chances are high we fall victim to an avalanche here.", Jack returned.
"You never know! And that book also includes other very useful info!", Charlie defanded himself, just to cock a brow curiously,
"What are you doing there, anyway?"
"Remember when we met Jay and Sarrah earlier? And I asked Jay about bush food and stuff?", Jack said, Charlie growing a tad uncomfortable,
"Yes?", he said.

"Well, since we have no pan and all. Do you want the dead frog or the gigantic grub? It's dead too, no worries!", Jack turned around, holding out two sticks towards Charlie with a wide grin, while Charlie only gave a start backwards with a loud,
"EWWW!"
Iuvencus and Trooper just shared a glance. Humans.
