Well, the part of Vasilievsky Island that you put in red isn't really "not safe".
Unless this map is a map of where all the interesting stuff is in which case, yea that part of Vasilievsky Island shouldn't be green. But thenthe entire Moscow avenue should be in the green.

Relax, it's just a centre-biased joke. I agree, the district of the Moscow Square would probably be nice to visit for a tourist, although there is not too much to do there.

Take a selfie in front of the statue of Lenin, can't really do that anywhere in the center.
Also the fountains there are pretty nice, though they might have changed since the last time I've had a good look at them cause that was multiple years ago.

Well, there's Lenin Square for that XD. The fountains should look nice, because the square was just renovated afaik

Moscow square doesn't have the sound of trains.
Also I just noticed that the port, the cargo harbour, is part of the green here, why would anyone want to go there unless you worked there.

Sound of trains on the Lenin Square? Unless you mean TRAMS, I don't quite understand, but what's wrong with trams? That's actually the point, Moscow Avenue in general is just extremely loud and car-heavy and just not very friendly for pedestrians. Finland Railway Terminal Square Lenin Square is full of different public transportation and is very lively, it's just a little nicer to be there (although still not as nice as the actual left-bank city centre of course, but for crazy people who'd want to see the Lenin statue for some reason, will do) and it's not million miles away from the actual city. I don't see the point in this argument really, this shitpost is just a joke, i don't actually hate outskirters or something (well, mostly). I'm sorry if it offended you.

"Moscow square doesn't have the sound of trains" Was a joke, a bad one perhaps. Yes, I agree that Moscow avenue is pretty loud. I actually don't think I have ever been to Lenin square to be honest. And the entire left-bank is kind of a mystery to me, as the only area I know somewhat well is the area around the Novocherkasskaya metro station. Yeah this argument is pointless, just two shitposters shitposting each other.
Can the commie-block part of Vasievsky Island really be considered an outskirt?

Imo yes, because it doesn't look like St Petersburg. I'd even argue that the whole of Gavan' (western side of Vasiljevski) shouldn't be considered St Petersburg, because originally it was built away from the city, pretty much like Kronstadt, just closer. If you look at the early 19th century maps, it looks like its own place, disconnected by emptiness from the eastern side of Vasiljevski and the rest of the city. But that's probably a bit too radical, yeah.

"If only they had made another fort near the Gavan', perhaps having another "center" for what perhaps could've been a smaller town that would eventually get eaten, making the entire Gavan, look like it belongs here."
Is it obvious yet that I live in the Gavan' and kind of hate it?
Novomolenskaya nab. is pretty cool though.

Well, that's kinda what happened irl anyway, Galernaja Gavan' is a form of fortification and there was a smaller town nearby, what's now between ~ Naličnaja and ~ Detskaja streets, and as I said it was away from the city. It kinda still is, since after the lines end it becomes a bit empty with random mostly non-residential buildings, and then after Detskaja it starts looking like a town again.
