Another assignment from my Drawing class!This time it's a "symbolic self portrait". I decided to do this scene because...well, a few reasons. I love space and the idea of space exploration. I want to reach for the stars, and go as far as I can in this lifetime, and...it's all so big, you know? There's so much out there, so much to experience, and it's all so massive. I'm both honored and terrified.
But yeah, this was a lot of fun and I'm pretty happy with how it turned out. Yes the arm is a bit long, but I didn't want to risk messing anything up by attempting to fix it.

Do you blend the charcoal with your fingers or a blender tool?

I blend with my fingers. My teacher has some blender tools, but I kind of like using my fingers more.
