It's such a hard costume to try and imitate in a quick fashion. It's not an easy bucket type helmet that can be whipped up real quick.
Maybe I went overboard in doing it's so heavy duty, I wish there was a way I could do it E-Z style. I'd write a tutorial for everyone, so many people ask me how to make this helmet!

It begs the interesting question of to what extent the Mouth has a will of it's own. Is he more or is he less independent than the wraiths? ... would he claim the ring?

The Mouth of Sauron probably had more independence than the Wraiths.
He is described as using all his cunning to move up Saurons ranks quickly, so there might be a denotation of an independant thinker.
Tolkien philosphers/geek argued he might has gained his power and prolonged his life
with a Dwarven Ring. (So I went as far in some of the bare-hand shots to wear a Roman ring of my brothers. )
Still, I do believe the sucker was dead without Sauron, and was literally a part of him.
The Wraiths had no will or notion but whatever they had to do for Sauron, and in the book he seems less zombified than them.
Quite capable of conversation, and actually human enough to let himself get talked into a circle.
In the movie the artists wanted him to be having a 'direct feed' from Sauron and literally to be a mouth.
And you can hear Sauron's voice in the movie between Mouthie's dialouge. (Do believe it's all Black Speech, haven't made it out if it's what MoS is repeating or not.)
So, he'd probably give the Ring right back, but remeber, Sauron used to serve Morgoth.
For awhile.
Eh, you see I over analyze. Die-hard-geek.

Well, the wraiths are sort of like zombies but I never got the impression that they were directly controlled by the dark lord. But I agree that he's definitely more of a person than they are. But what motivates him? Is it greed? Lust for power? At this point in his career, could it be vanity? Or perhaps fear? He is very different from the wraiths.
Whether he is more free than the wraiths though... I don't think Sauron keeps as close an eye on the wraiths as he does on the Mouth. He wouldn't have to. I believe they are equally trapped in Sauron's grip but they are kept at bay with different kinds of restraints. Then again, it's been years since I last read them and the films screw everything up for me.
