A quickie, think of it as a concept sketch for a better one in the future.
I based the drawing around a magnificent photo taken by mon friar Eric [link] .
It was of the modern city horizon, and coming out of the hazy midst was an ancient cathedral.
So I made it even more modern and steampunk-y looking.
A very quick sketch, prismacolor pencils and sodigital touching up, but so much fun to do.

I just finished 'The Golden Compass' trilogy which I enjoyed, and it had some reeeeally Steampunky city described.

And I went through the realization that I didn't have time to do the whole piece I wanted,
so I'd get a feel for it.
I really am happy i did, there's things I will and and will not do nex time.
And I am just tickled, it's not my 'best' piece at all, but it was what I wanted, I did it so quick.

Thank you Andy! I remembered what you said, because I really did not want to do a background, maybe I could just ingore this one too........ blast! I should add one!
So, it was minimal color and then some airbrushing, but I am so happy I did!

Thanks! The beautiful real-life picture I based this around made my mind boggle...
as I sketched it, I had so many ideas coming, I realise that this needs to be done again.
But I am so happy with it as it is, and hope to do it justice in the future.

That's like my entry that I never got to finish - I'm going to upload what I have - the A5 concept with a hint of colour - but would like to upsize it and do it justice. Starting is always the hardest part

So very hard to start a piece, unless it;s a rare one you can't wait to do.
I forced myself, as a presidential debate began, to draw this... 'Ahhhh! The babbling! The accusing voices! Enough! I force myself to draw, though I don't want to!'

I'd certainly rather draw than listen to politicians drone on. My patience for rhetoric never was long, and it withers up a little more each time...
I'm starting to whip myself into shape again artistically. Rather than fill up the comment space of your masterpiece, I might just write it all up in a journal entry. It's about time I put up something new
