So basically I'm just surprised I finished painting this without crying. Then again, I have calmed down tremendously since yesterday so... (though for some reason THIS SONG just happened to come up on my ipod and I swear I was this close to involuntarily chuck my computer out the window).
It's a pity I ended up cropping half the pic because I didn't like how it was coming out. Nevertheless, I was going for a more peaceful take instead of angst...I really hope I captured that in here. OH and, sorry about the wrong hairstyle on Sherlock, the image is actually flipped so~

Your art is always beautiful, but this piece do justice to the story, and that's saying something! every time I read the title "Alone on the Water" my first reaction is "Oh god no!" I've read it twice and then steered well clear of it, and that's the best compliment I can pay to it.
