Description When you see two animals fighting, you would think that one of them must have done something to provoke it.
In most cases you would be right.

Not crows and owls though.
Crows and owls hate each other.
They hate each other with such a passion that they will go out of their way to fight each other.

Why is this?

Well firstly one have to consider the fact that the owl is a predator.
It will prey on crow babies and eggs.
Which it will eat.
Right in front of the parents.

Such is nature I’m afraid.
In no way is this something unique to owls.

That is when you have to take the sheer intelligence of the crow into consideration.
It has a higher number recocnition than a human.
Where most humans can recognise at most five, without having to start counting, the crow can recognise up to seven.

If the owl kills its children it will remember.
And the next time it sees an owl it will try to drive it out of its neighbourhood.
And in most cases it will succeed.
Because this is a sentiment shared by all crows.
