SO many people have been recommending this manga to me for so long, but I only just started reading it last week! >___< Can't believe it... Gau is definitely my favourite character. He's absolutely adorable, but I love his hotheadedness too.

I hated the beginning (first volume or so), I found it shallow and no character made any impression on me... But now I love them all (though I especially like Raikou and Gau 
By the way, I hope you are okay and you didn't have any kind of trouble with all that's going on in your country... I hope order and peace can be back before it gets out of hand more than it already did (.__.;

Yes, indeed I am! You're right though, it does take some getting into. I think that's why it took me so long to really make a go of reading it. I skimmed the first chapter online a while ago and just left it after that (stupid me). But one of my friends works in a big bookshop and she recently gave me volumes 1-5. I couldn't stop reading them! They're fantastic! (Yes, especially Raikou and Gau 
And thank you for the concern. I'm fine and luckily my little town is too. There's not much to smash or loot where I live, although they're worried there might still be riots starting in the town neighboring us and London is only an hour away, so I worry about my friends there. We're hoping that things get back to normal soon though and lots of people are volunteering to help clean up the mess.
