how you managed the shadows? looks like that its over the word, but sometimes looks like that is in the same level, did you used drop shadow?

well I don't know how can I explain you...
On the layers palete theres an option with shadows, gradient... you choose chadow option and apply in the brush.

Sorry for my explication, I speak a little english and my photoshop version is in Spanish :S
