creation time: less then an hour

I love how the ring's shadow makes a heart, and the script in the book looks really pretty too.

incredible. i've seen manipulation of shadows before but this is quite intricate work i nthe light placement and bend of the book page. the rendering is top notch!

wow ! less than an hour ? Looks really well for that short time. Is it hard to work with max ? Heard a lot about it but never tried it myself. I`m more of an Illustrator person so far

I you got some practice in 2D vector illustration it is not this hard to learn 3D. Of course you have to become familiar with the interface, but once you know what you are doing it is quite easy.
Oh, and it is helpful if you can think in 3D.
