"Muña Zaldrīzoti" (Mother of Dragons)
I've ALWAYS wanted to paint this scene, but back in the day didn't have the skill for it. It feels soooo amazing to be able to do it now! This was the key moment for me - I liked the first season of GoT, but never to the point of falling in love with it. But after this scene and a million goosebumps all over me I knew my heart belonged to Dany and her little dragons forever. So this was a very special painting to me personally.

Me too. I didn't begin watching until season 6 after a free preview weekend on HBO. I really, really liked her strong character and she was the only reason I kept watching.
This painting took my breath away.

The last episode of season 8 hit me like a punch to the gut and was the driving force that got me drawing again for the first time in decades. I will avenge her character as my skills eventually permit.

Many of the things that happened to Dany throughout the series were an absolute shame. It's sad that shew couldn't have remained the doe-eyed innocent she looks in this beautiful (and, if I may say, quite poignant) drawing. My heart ached for her in that final episode. She may have been the Mother of Dragons, but she deserved a much better conclusion to her story than she got. Oh well: I guess that's why we have imaginations...
Regardless of her turn of character, she certainly was a stunner. And you've certainly done her justice.
(What is it about platinum- and ash-blondes that I find so irresistible? I fell in love with a beautiful young ash-blonde from Denmark in college; sadly, she was only here for the summer. Wherever you are now: Chrissy [short for "Christiana"], I hope you have a happy life. And I miss you terribly...)
