Oh wow. The coloring and composition on this are beautiful. I'm particularly impressed with Tenten's hair, the play of light on it is very well done, and you got the contour of her buns shaded just perfectly. I'm impressed with Hotaru's hair too, but Tenten's just steals the show for me. XD
The color work on the clothing is also very well done. The shading looks amazing with that subtle play of texture.

Aww thank you. I'm glad you like it. ^^ But I can only take credit for the composition. The amazing awe inspiring coloring is from She does beautiful digital paintings and is just really sweet. ^^ She's the one who made it come to life and pop like it does.

I love that you went with ShinoTen and not just NejiTen, they're adorable. Not that I don't LOVE NejiTen, I do, but it was nice to see something different. I also love the dark colors here and the character design for Hotaru.

I've always thought it was a cute alternate pairing but it wasn't until somebody did a kiss request for them that I realized how adorable of a pairing it can be.

Was that something you wrote? If it is I'd love to read it. ^^ It is a very cute alternative pairing and when I first got into it, I didn't realize how much I'd enjoy it. Then I just fell in love with it and I think now it's one of my main favorite pairings. (plus I love the fact that it would provide a great opportunity for their teams to interact as well, Gai's overprotective streak to come out and clan politics of Tenten getting involved with the clan heir.)

I also forgot that at a con (NDK) we 'paired' the Shino from our group with the Tenten from our group.
I hadn't thought of that, I haven't had a chance to really think too much about it. Plus I think it's always sweet when there's a way for Tenten to have a clan or a family and one that would accept her and respect her would be nice which I think they would even though there'd be all kinds of politics involved I'm sure.

Agreed. And like NejiTen as a I do...the Hyuuga seem much more traditional and if Tenten was involved with them, more like they'd want to control her. Plus being married to someone in the Cadet Branch, I really think they'd try to control her even more. Versus the Aburame who while they still seem strict, seem more...I don't know the word I'm looking for. Not modern, but more accepting in a way I guess and not as tightly ruled by elders. Plus there wouldn't be a threat of her or their children being sealed as well. Though considering her lack of family name and such, I think there'd definitely be politics involved.

*nods* Exactly and as much as I love ShinoHana I think there would be less drama over him marrying Tenten since I think he's the next head of the clan and Hana I think would be too where as Tenten doesn't have one. There'd be politics but they'd be different. The politics can be a fun dynamic to play with in every aspect.

Agreed. And with ShinoHana to, then you'd also have outside politics to worry about. Because it could be like two clans joining together which could make the village elders very nervous. And Hana would probably be forced to cede her position as clan heir which I think would cause a lot of family strife. Then there's the issues with the kids and what clan is more important in terms of what they're taught, ect. But with Tenten, there are different issues, but none that could draw outside harm at least.

That's of course what makes those pairings interesting but sometimes it's nice to just have a simple love too.

Yep. ^^ She inherited tShino's blood limit, but it actually made her really sick for awhile and she couldn't control it well at first. mostly due to genetics and that Tenten's chakra differed enough from Shino's (due to the fact that in this version she's not originally from Konoha) that it made Hotaru accepting the kikai into her system harder than it should be.
