Here is my application for =GBIllustrations .Excuse my humans, I'm still not all that great at them, still practicing them and stuff.
But the best I could do for now..

Trainer: Thomas
Thomas originates from the Hoenn region, he lived in Fallarbor Town with his brother until about age 12 when he went out and received his first Pokemon from Professor Birch. He ended up picking a Treecko.
He was one of the few to make it in the Elite Four, defeating Steven Stone and claiming the Champion title. He didn't take over Mr. Stone's position, but he earned a name in the Hoenn Region.
He then decided to travel, going onto the Sinnoh Region. To where he is now.
Thomas is an Albino, so his hair isn't white just to look "cool". It's a realistic color for his condition.
In the Backpack:

Art Book:
This is Thomas' Pokedex, he'll record the Pokemon he sees when he has time. Although it's more filled with stuff about him team than anything else.

Secondary Outfit:
Thomas is a rather formal type person, his first outfit is his general travel outfit while his secondary outfit is the one he would most likely wear to competitions. So which ever one you'd like to picture in him. His shoes are just normal Black Dress shoes.

Kamole is the main of the team, she keeps everyone in line and is often on the battle field. Although she's not very quick, but a very solid individual Pokemon. She's a good contest appeal Pokemon, she can use her moves effectively and gracefully.
Tibor the Wartortle

Mystic Water
Hasty
Tibor is the fast one on the team, he enjoys battling thus he likes longer battles. He also loves to show off his speed and grace, he also knows people go ga-ga for his beautiful tail and he loves to show his tail off as well.
Ermione the Pidgeot

Keen Eye
Shell Bell
Careful
Ermione is the more careful one of the group, she's known to invent her own moves in order to make herself look better, making her a great Contest Pokemon as she always adds her own flare to each contest or battle she enters into.
Apollon the Shiny Luxray
Male
Intimidate
Magnet
Bold
Apollon is a very confident Pokemon, he knows he's powerful and he's not afraid to show it. He's extremely fickle though, he's brilliant in contest shower but at times he'll refuse to preform a move if he believes it won't be effective.
Cynfor the Typhlosion
Male
Blaze
Charcoal
Gentle
Cynfor could also be seen as timid off the battle field, but he's more caring and gentle than scared. He's been trained to be fierce in battle, although he won't try to hurt his foe(s) but he won't take the change to attack and miss.
Winn the Wingull
Male
Keen Eye
Sharp Beak
Quirky
Winn is the only Pokemon Thomas rarely uses to battle, he uses Winn to show off such a quick and beautiful creature. Winn is a pure Appeal Pokemon, although he could battle he isn't exactly the best of battlers.

Aren't albinos' eyes pinkish, though, because the lack of coloration shows the bloodveins in the eyes?

If a human or animal can create enough melanin, their eyes can appear blue or other colors.
Red/pink only occurs in animals that completely lack color and cannot create it.
Most albinos can produce some melanin and thus blue eyes occur. Other things can can be affected by an albino producing melanin is the hair or skin color, where patches darker than normal can appear by random or by warmer appears such as under the arms.
I made sure I knew about albinos before I created an albino character.

Nice team you got here, and a really interesting style of drawing. Took me awhile to recognize Luxray, and I didn't even recognize Typhlosion until I read the comments. XD
Even if the clothes are similar to Lucas, I like your trainer design. Making him Albino is an interesting idea.

Yes, I'm a rather big fan of the powerful bird Pokemon. I like the original Powerhouse birds.
Really..? I can understand the Typlosion, this is just how I see Typhlosions. My Luxray.. I think is quite recognizable.. I didn't change much about it other than making it look more like a lion.
I really wonder why people recognize Lucas as a true character.. The name isn't even close to his Japanese name.. And in the Manga his name is Diamond, Lucas has no real story to me since the Pokemon games are not Lucas' storyline. It's my character's, whoever I choose it to be. It's Diamond that does have a story behind him...

I knew the Manga character before I knew that he's the(supposedly) the same character.
I don't really care about the canon game characters, they're not mine. You can pick your own name, so I don't see why it can't be used as common Sinnoh attire.
Basically everyone in FireRed and such were dressed generally the same.
Does this mean that people that have OC Trainers that wear a black undershirt and a vest with jeans is unoriginal? I don't think so, I think it's unfair that people go on to say that 'Your attire is just like Lucas'." When other people use similar attire of random game characters and don't get the bad treatment I've gotten so far.
I think it's very rude for people to come to look at my art and then say things like that to me, especially after I spent days on this.
This character of mine, Thomas, his attire has always changed to something similar to the region he was in. I've roleplayed him in all regions outside of the game, including some fake regions People would make up. So, I don't see it to be unoriginal to have game attire for a character. I also don't see it as stupid, I see it as sticking to a line of what's going on. Thomas was a character I made from the first games, again he originated from the Hoenn.. his main story was in Hoenn, but he didn't really have the Hoenn's clothing. He wasn't this big time hero like Ruby was, so changing his clothing was my reason to say he wasn't this stupid game character. Not only that, but I like the Sinnoh attire. I don't see a reason I can't use it and still have a great character.

i understand more now, i said lucas cause a lot of people haven't read the adventures or golden boys manga so i didn't want to say diamond. i have read those, if i would have known you were familiar with diamond i would have said he looks a lot like diamond, not lucas. though lucas and diamond are counterparts and are basically the same person.
but like i said, i do like your art i just dont think it was fair of you to flip out on me just cause i said he resembles a character you dont like.

It's okay, I didn't say you were unoriginal, I just noted there was indeed a similarity in appearences. I'm sorry you're getting a hard time from people, some of the comments definately were rather rude, and should not have been made.
Since (at least in my case) we don't know too much about the personality/background of your character yet, we comment on what we see-that is, his appearence.
But don't let these people (or me, if I'm one of them) bother you. I'm sure you have a great character, it sounds like you actually know him well, so you'll be fine.

It didn't take me that long to recognize Luxray, just a few seconds. I guess the face was different enough to throw me off, because you're right, the markings are quite obvious. Or maybe I'm just tired.

Yeah, the original Luxray has a very domestic feline-type face on it. It comes to a point I suppose. I used a more broad face, like a lion, so hmm :/

You know, opinions like that should be best kept to yourself. Especially since the artist I am sure put lots of work into this and doesn't need to hear comments like that. If you don't like the style, that's fine since everyone has their own opinions, but to sit there and call something ugly that someone else put their time into making is flat out rude and disrespectful, especially if you don't give a reason as to why. The very least you could do is write up a critique on how the artist could improve instead of just saying it's ugly.
Also, have you ever thought that maybe the artist wasn't going for "the whole realism thing" but that it actually is their style?

You're right, that was a terrible thing for me to say, and I'll apologize to the artist as well. I didn't really intend to imply that the artist didn't put effort into it. I can tell that there's a LOT of effort that went into it, in spite of the unoriginal clothing (sorry for that too, but that much is true). I suppose it would've been fairer of me to say that the style doesn't appeal to me, or perhaps I'd have been better off not commenting at all as opposed to sharing this fact.

I think Thomas is very handsome. And looking at your gallery, I don't exactly think your Azelice character is cute. At all. And if I were to word it as you would, I'd put "No offense to you, but your character is really ugly."
If you say something mean, don't expect politeness in return. In my personal opinion, I really don't think you have any room to say such things to her. Inno's art is detail, obviously realistic, and shows how much work she put into it. Unless you can do something far beyond, I don't think you should say such uncalled for things.

It's not Lucas, and to my personal preference he's certainly not ugly.
And this is my style for humans, if you don't like it then simply don't comment or look at it.
Especially if you have nothing nice to say, or have no reason to say or crit it.
I can understand that my human art isn't the greatest, but it's better than some other peoples and I've been working on bettering it all. I worked on my application for about four days, and I think my effort is grand.
So, learn how to be nicer to people. Although your opinion means nothing to me really, just warning you in the future other people won't be as nice as I'm being right now.

Before I say anything, I was more referring to the pokemon themselves with the part about the ugliness. They're not at all visually appealing to me, but I can understand that it's simply your style, and if I don't like it, then I'm not really in a position to comment upon it, the saying "If you don't have anything nice to say, don't say anything at all," springs to mind.
I must apologize for my words, though you say my opinion means nothing to you, were I in your position, I would be saying the same thing, but feeling hurt inside at the thoughtless criticism flung so carelessly. Not saying that's how you feel, just saying that's how I would feel in your position, and that being the case, I realize that an apology is the least I can do. I try to be a nice person, to be supportive and helpful, but I occasionally find myself acting without first considering the consequences, speaking without first thinking about what I'm saying and how it would be perceived. I hope that you can find it in your heart to forgive me for my folly, for I am only human, and mistakes happen, I can assure you that I've learned from this experience.

My reasoning, I don't think all Pokemon should be visually appealing. We have ugly animals in our world too. My style is based off of how I think things would look to me in my world, thus monsters.
That's how I was feeling, but you are just one person.. I have a lot of other people who support my art, so I usually get angry and then decide to put it behind me. I use to do the same thing, act on impulse with commenting, but now I watch what I say because I don't want to discourage people to draw since everyone has their own things, styles, and so on. If I don't like it or if there's no reason for me to comment then I just don't. I forgive you, I can fully understand.
Yes, I know.. They're quite protective about my art just as much as I am of their's, but I didn't really expect them to comment so rudely themselves.... but I can't control them. There's really not much to envy about me, but after your comment, I went crazy on everyone's asses =3=

Well, he's not.
Trainers are allowed to have the same style of clothing.
My Character has differently colored clothing, maybe the same style but he's nothing like Lucas.
Also, don't crit the character's by looks. Thomas is older, wiser, and built less femininely than Lucas.

Because my characters are nothing like the canons, he doesn't resemble Lucas in anything other than the COMMON Sinnoh attire for trainers in the region.

The Sinnoh attire doesn't automatically make a character look like a canon, he really doesn't look anything like Lucas physically. Scarfs and layers are commonly used in Pokemon.
So if I had a character that had a black undershirt, a vest and jeans the character automatically looks like Red in FireRed, or Ash in the Anime?

he doesn't look exactly like Lucas but the attire resembles Lucas :/ resembles is different than flat out looks like. if a character had a black undershirt red vest and jeans then yes, he's RESEMBLE red. because that's what red wears.
you don't have to argue about it so much. its just an opinion, i said i liked your art, just take the compliment laugh off the fact that he resembles Lucas, Diamond, or Koki. its that simple :/ I'm sorry for having an opinion i guess and thinking that your character looks like one that already exists.

I was going to make him shiny, but I decided against it since my Luxray was already shiny and I think Wingull's appeal looks better as the normal coloration. Since Ice Beam is generally blue, matches his wings I suppose.
