Except for the fact of forward valve-port shockwaves setting up in the back-cylinder feed pipes causing the rear units to temporarily loose power thus letting the front units to loose traction. They required the hand of a skilled 'throttle jock' to minimize this problem, and it was not unusual to have them cruise along at 110+mph with a full train behind.

Tragic how the entire shark-nose series arrived way too late: The T1, the Q1, Q2. The Q2 was amongst the most powerful engines in history

Don't think T1's ever went to New York and Philly. Curves were and are too tight for them and they were mainly a Lines West engine, meaning west of Pittsburgh.
