The Venus shots in the series were my first ever astrophotos. Thought they worked out pretty well for being shot with a point and shoot digital hand held up to an eyepiece.

For this image I just hand held a Sony point and shoot digital camera up to a 25mm eyepiece on my telescope and clicked the shutter. (Afocal method) The telescope was equiped with a safe mylar solar filter.

All the shots in the Transit of Venus series were captured the same way.

I was quite happy with the results for being hand held.
Thinking back I am pretty sure they were my first ever astro photos.
