Nice picture. Makes me wish that special effects would get good enough to make Caitians look like this in one of the series. If they were brought into the storyline, I'd much rather that they looked like this as opposed to just some girl in a cat suit.

Well, there had been a preview in Germany with the first 30 minutes. There is a scene in which you see Kirk in bed with two cat-girls.That's all I know, most likely it's just a small scene, making it a running gag that Kirk is caught in bed with strange aliens...

Well.....they haven't been nice about the Caitian race in Star Trek...they pretty much shovelled TAS under the carpet saying it isn't cannon...(I wonder how long it will be before they do that to TNG)....Well, I hope they are Caitians and not just catgirls.

No, they haven't been, but I see it this way: It's fiction and they brought it out at some point. So I can decide what I think is canon, not some Paramount official. Many see the new movie as non canon or canon in another timeline not affecting the old series. Or it's just a new interpretation.

The way I see it, the original Star Trek is part of western culture, like for example Tarzan, a story well know, that can be shown again and again from various angles. Some may be better than others, but none replaces the original.

Yes, I think so as wel. That was the reason for the first new movie. Tho I wonder why they invested a whole movie in explaining how a new time-line is being created. They could have said: Hey, we're telling this story anew.

All of your M'Ress illos are rather cute, but I particularly love this one because you gave her the "harelip" and digitigrade "paw" feet as depicted in the animated series. In most of the other drawings, you give her somewhat more human lips and feet.
BTW and slightly OT, has something happened to Captian34? I've tried submitting several M'Ress renders to "Team M'Ress" only to have them sit in the "queue" for two weeks until they were auto rejected due to no response. I assume your piece was auto accepted because he originally made you a co admin along with a few select others.
