Platt OKeefe definitely looks like an iconic SW character. No doubt that is why she was developed for the RPG notes, no? She must have a great story to tell.Β

She's a great character within the confines of the WEG books she appears in

[ADDENDUM, PERSONAL]
[OKEEFE, PLATT]
Being remembered is awesome.Β It means you left an impression (unlike some characters in this Galaxy who are so one dimensional that they don't even show up on the Last Chance's highly illegal scanner suit.Β All I ever get when I scan them is something about how my Ray shielding is annoying or how my fins got screwed up!
[END]
How can you not like a gal who showed you more personality and dimension in one Smuggler's Log addendum than some heroines show with two entire movies and novel adaptations under their belt?Β It's sad that she was only ever a character for the RPG.Β She would've been great to see in REBELS... but maybe it's a good thing we'll never see her.Β I would hate to see her Soloed.

She reminds me of Dr. Alpha.Β I'm not a fan of what Disney's done with the Star Wars license but I freaking love that comic.

I never played the Star Wars D&D game but it sure sounds fun.Β I love reading those books with all the stats and bios of the OCs.Β I wonder if Disney owns them too since most licensed deals don't cover new characters created for the product.Β That's why it took so long for the Adam West Batman show to get released on DVD because the companies were arguing over all the original villains in the show like Egghead, King Tut, ect...

According to the original license agreements, Lucasfilm officially owned everything, 'cause Star Wars was their world and WEG was being permitted to play in it. SO when everything in the property was turned over to Mouse, Inc the RPG stuff went to, since it was definitely part of the Expanded/Legacy Universe. It was hopefully a cool deal for WEG since a lot of their original and semi-original material that was developed for the RPG was used by many Expanded Universe writers, and have made their way into the recent generation of Star Wars films & TV shows. But a lot of us will always have our own heroes' adventures in a galaxy far, far away...Β

Well now, you're a blast from the past, aren't you?
It's been that long I'd almost forgotten West End did Star Wars.

So much they threw out and didn't even think of reintroducing them.
Yes, the copyright for her is probably in the hands of someone else, but just thinking she could have appeared in a Han Solo or Lando Calrissian movie would have made it worth to me to watch the movie. The same with so many other possibilities.

Well personally I'm done with STAR WARS until they do something original. I'm a bit tired of watching them kill off my heroes

I have no problem with killing off the old guard, but it's the way they do it, that really gets me. And that the replacements don't offer me anything.
So, yes, I'm also mostly done with Star Wars. Didn't see Solo, don't see anything in the 'Resistance' trailer and I'm very skeptic about this Clone Wars continuation. Time to get the old novels and comics out again. Mmmmh... Tales of the Jedi... Β

I'm afraid I do. I don't need to see characters die unless their death serves the story and is a true depiction of the character. Spock's death in TWOK was brilliant, Wesley's death in Angel, Angel's first death in Buffy. These were great ends for great characters. The tragedy serves the story and is true to their character.
Han's death was fruitless and almost pointless, Luke's was a potentially good death, surrounded by a characterization I found terrible and somewhat insulting.

Like I said, the way they do it is what gets me, so yes, I agree with you on all points.
The many plotholes don't help either.
