Probably wondering why he is a commando instead of crewing a gunboat. Shouldn't have been a smart-ass in Basic, bro.

that is hillarious!!!  The backstory I came up with for him is really not too far off from that

Heh, I am a RPG player (video 7 tabletop) for many years, and the quick characterizations based on general backgrounds come to mind very easily anymore.    Sullustans are famous as high-tech and spaceship personnel, so any of them acting as ground-pounders in any capacity makes one automatically wonder what happened.

sure, but when I made him I was finding it hard to believe that you can attribute one sort of skill set to a species.  There are exception to every rule, and also, if EVERY SPECIES X was THIS or THAT, then how did they fucntion pre-spaceflight?  Someone has to work at K-Mart, or be security, or work in sanitation, etc, etc, etc.  You cant have a whole species of pilots.

Also, in the West End Games description, they said that Sullustians could remember any map they see.  Think about what an amazing Pathfinder an Sullustian could make!  Give them maps of the planet they are headed to and they will lead the way for any point team.

Now, on his character sheet he could fly, but I created a backstory where he wasn't as good in the mechanical area as his family, and he felt inferior, but found his place as a Pathfinder.  Even still, on an Op he could still fly or drive anything if it was needed.

That is a definite possible build in Fantasy Flight SW rules. I would like to see him as a fully fledged character.

he is a fully fledged character, just under the West End Games rules.  I played him for over a year.

I had fun playing a few characters under the West End rules, which really let a player get into the SW feeling. Good times.

Well if you like him, I hope to have a full version soon.  This was really a first draft.  What I would like is him in a version of my redesign uniform.  Have you checked it out:  baronneutron.deviantart.com/ar…

It combines the uniform you see in Jedi, with the Colonial Marines from Aliens.  In my game that is how we envisioned our SpecForce dudes

A little tall for a Sullustan?

How can you tell?

Well, maybe I'm wrong.  He just seems more lanky than most Sullustans I've seen, but then it turns out that Sullustans can be anywhere between half and average human height.

Of course, my comment was mainly supposed to be a tongue in cheek Star Wars reference.

Ah I see.

I don't know much about the species myself. I just figured if he's a commando he might be a bit bigger
