How do you choose the setting, colours and position of your workpieces? It looks so... immaterial, as if it was a fading dream...

Hmm, I never really thought how.
When I free draw, its usually to a song that evokes feelings and then I draw. The setting comes to life with the rough lines, and as for the color, I just pick what relates to what I'm feeling. If that makes sense?

Best suggestion I have, is to listen to a song thats strong or meaningful to you, and draw without thinking. ^^

It promises...
I can't help but see a little David Firth in this. I think it's the eyes of the left dragon. The expression on the other...poor thing. The water is gorgeous, albeit they are not friendly depths I think.
The flowers from the left one...sweet lies?

Ooo Really? Oh I haven't even thought of that. If anything, I'm glad it has a hint of his style, since I did want it to be a bit dark.
And thank you, I'm pretty pleased with the effects aswell.
About the flowers, I left no trace of personal meaning; so that everyone sees it differently. I can see how they can be interpreted that way, cool! Means I gave the effect I wanted.
