After Rhys slips away to pick flowers, Renyk follows to make sure no ghosts stalk her. However, Rhys notices he is following and the two talk briefly before they are interrupted by a strange howling. They are both witness to a strange vision, but too spooked to go back home, Renyk suggests--against his better judgement--that they go to the meadow so Rhys can pick flowers instead.
