This is great, I love it. The almost nonexistence in the color of the snow, the red of the leaves, the blueness of the glass and of course the tones and shades of the stones just make for an magnificent image.

We dropped my youngest son off at college in Asheville NC, headed to Rochester New York via Virginia, Tenn, West Virginia and Pennsylvania. Got to Niagara Falls and spent a few days, then we met up with DA Photographer who lives in Rochester, crossed over to New Bedford Mass to visit my childhood bestfriend, then on the way home went down to New Jersey to see another DA friend then home to North Carolina. This particular photo was taken in Salem, Mass which was so beautiful. We have met these artist on DA and while in the US wanted to meet them in person. I actually met my husband, on DA. We love to travel, shoot pictures, and meet our contempararies when we can. We live for the moment!!!!!

I have no idea, but it was quite stunning. Also saw lots of trees on the way up that had gold pods or leaves...very pretty, but don't know what they were. Look so beautiful in the snow. Great contast that nature provides! Your right it is quite chilly out. This has thus far been a great trek. Just seeing how we do in freezing temps with lots of the white stuff. Practicing for Switzerland!

Cold air will do that to you. I hope to be able to get out and do some photo-ing this weekend. We had a bit of snow yesterday and it is plenty cold enough that it should stick around for a few days. That's the hope anyway.

Thanks so much! I actually go off the scale with my photo's on contrast which requires a photo to be over sharpened. I am a creative artist first and I do lots of enhancements to my photo's to get different almost painterly qualities. I appreciate your comment!
