It's been almost 8 year since I first started cosplaying her, and 5 1/2 years since I completed my last fuku, but I finally have an Eternal Uranus costume! YAY! And even though I've taken pictures with other Neptunes before, for the first time I have a matching Neptune, who is my good friend Amanda and an amazing seamstress. She is a great person to build costumes with because we keep each other striving to make our projects as good as possible.

Anyways, a few construction notes? I'm not sure either of us considers our costumes "done" - I want to make new bootcovers and we both want new wigs and better stars at the waist (ours are so small they're hard to see!). But considering we only had about 3 weeks to work on these we're pretty satisfied for now. Our skirts have fishing wire in the hem which gives it the flowy manga-esque look. There's a lot of bias-cut material in these costumes to make the waistbands and glove/sleeve puffies stretch and fit better. Last but not least, I've had an idea to make those silly Eternal sleeves puffy without gathering them and making them inaccurate to the source material and I used that idea on these costumes. After seeing them on I think I'm on the right track but I want to add a little more blue stuffing to my sleeves because they could stand to be a bit larger. Once I get them exactly the way I want I'll post a tutorial!

Hopefully we'll get better photos soon - this was taken after a cosplay contest that took place outside in nearly 90F weather. We were feeling yucky and exhausted when this photo was taken, to say the least!
