For so long, I found myself living in a soft and comforting embrace
High in the sky, wrapped in clouds of lace
Imbibing the fresh air saturated with freshness
Rolling amongst the clouds, I would leave it where I left it
Bathing in the Sun's rays garbed in white
Until I found myself falling; losing sight

Freefalling from the cradle of purity
A sickening speed I fell, watching as the clouds faded from obscurity
My stomach turning and tumbling in a wave
I closed my eyes, freefalling to my grave

I landed softly on a small haven of clouds
In the center of the sky, surrounded by ever darkening shrouds
The only inhabitant; a beautiful woman
Metamorphosing the caterpillars in my stomach
Transfiguring my being
A sight truly worth seeing
True happiness and love at last
Though I had all but forgotten my tragic past
A place where love reigned true...or so I thought
It wasn't long before I found myself once again freefalling in the dark

As I fell, the light from that place never left
And that is when I began to notice several more lights myself
Shining in the abyss like a twinkling star
Piercing the night as black as tar
In my obsession, I was only focused on one
That I hadn't seen the others that had come

Here I am still falling with these lights to brighten my way
Even through the shadows that threaten me by the day
But still there was that place that stalked my dreams
Upon which I had built my life's beams

Here I am freefalling through the heavens above
Singing happy with glee, but also sad like a caged dove
