were there fires to give the heavy haze? Am a little spooked - found an old sign for my door "gone to fight fires, back soon". The intensity of colour hit me as smoke haze.

That is so..beautiful. The tree slants down just like the hill does and the colors are beautiful! You can barely see the sun in the background its neat.
