Species: Shadow Revenant. A Revenant is a spirit originating from one of the 8 Elemental Realms, taking a humanoid form by anchoring its soul to that of a human. As her species implies, Zytha is a Revenant from the Void of Shadow.

Weakness: Shadow Revenants are put off by light sources, and harmed from natural light, such as the Sun. Prolonged exposure can cause great physical injury and even be lethal in some instances.

Major Skills:
Forced Adaptation - The innate ability of Shadow Revenants is to forcefully adapt themselves to their surrounding for a short period. This process is done at will through physical contact. Zytha is able to absorb and assimilate a portion of a person or object's essence and temporarily augment herself. For example; if her target is able to throw fireballs, Zytha will be able to do the same, but with lesser results. She can only maintain one assimilated power at a time, and doing so greatly exhausts her energy after extended use.

Shapeshifting - A trait unique to herself among her kind; Zytha can morph her body in various ways; such as growing another pair of arms, growing prehensile wings from her back etc. This power does not allow her to take on another beings appearance, however. Shapeshifting requires a great deal of concentration, and can currently generate at most an extra set of limbs.

Shadow Protection - Because of her allergy to sunlight, Zytha must remain in contact with casted shadows while in broad daylight. She is able to meld with a person or object's shadow as protection, but this of course leaves her without any form of offence.

Minor Skills:
Basic Flight - The spikes on Zytha's back can extend out to form prehensile wings. She can sustain flight for a decent duration, but cannot perform any complex aerial manoeuvres such as barrel rolling etc.

Basic Melee Combat - Zytha is trained in the basics of hand to hand combat.

Darkvision - Zytha can see perfectly in pitch darkness.

Personality: Zytha is rather spunky and oblivious to the bad things going on in the world. She tends to take things at face value and blindly trust people who act nice to her. Zytha enjoys electronic dance and house music, DJ'ing at her local club, and hanging out with the friends she makes.

Character's Background: The Void of Shadow is a very empty place. The largest of the eight Elemental Realms, The Void gave form to the Shadow Daemons hundreds of centuries ago. These beings were malevolent if anything, and hated those that weren't themselves. The Void kept them imprisoned, unable to escape the realms endless darkness. Eventually most of the daemons became dormant, but the self-proclaimed leaders; IE the biggest and strongest of them, pressed onward, looking for other worlds to spread their malice. And perhaps to their salvation, they found the Sundered Rift. At this point however, there were only two Shadow Daemons left; so they had nothing to lose when entering the Rift. And when they did, something happened to them.

The Daemons found themselves on Earth, scattered apart from each other. But they were different somehow. They changed, as if the rift adapted them to their new home. Their gargantuan insectile bodies had shrunk dramatically, and their multiple limbs had fused together into a pair of arms and legs. They almost appeared human. They had become Revenants. The first of the two; Sedah, attempted to find the rift again, to bring the dormant Shadow Daemons to Earth. A feat simpler than he first thought, as his new body eventually vanished back into the Void; returning to the Sundered Rift. He felt empowered from his brief trip to another world. He smiled, looking over his now humanoid body, and began rallying his kin through force, preparing them for his invasion of Earth.

The second Shadow Revenant who came to Earth was Zytha. But she had a different fate than the one of her 'brother.' Her memories had been severely damaged, and her mind became docile as a side effect from crossing the rift. But she had an instinct that wanted her to survive. She wanted to stay here. And she felt fear when her body also began to disappear back to the Void. Desperate, she wandered into a small city, hoping to find someone to help her. However she soon realized that her appearance was putting the populace in hysteria. Unable to get close to anyone, Zytha eventually came to accept her fate and made her way to the outskirts to vanish. She rested under a cliff, as her body finally gave way. She looked up at the bright night sky, and noticed a young human on top of the cliff above her. He was standing dangerously close to the edge, and taking another step might cause him to slip. And sure enough he leaned forward and began to fall down...and landed right on top of Zytha. The contact had linked their two souls together; acting as an anchor for her body to remain in the human world. The human she unknowingly saved from a suicide, Josh; didn't seem to be afraid of her demonic appearance, and simply looked at her for a little while. Little did he know that he had saved her life as well.

Zytha thanked him silently, unable to speak the human language yet, but their connection gave her the ability to at least comprehend it. She felt compelled to follow Josh after that, and learn more about the world she now calls home.

Roleplay Example:
The door to the classroom swung open slowly. Zytha walked in casually; wearing a cloak that appeared to be made from a casted shadow. Her own shadow was missing from the ground which further proves that thought. She scanned for an available desk and sat down, making eye contact with very few of the other students.

Roleplay Schedule:
I can be online every day at varying times depending on what I have planned. I'm self employed so my schedule is different every day. I am very active on DeviantArt though, and if something is planned well enough in advance (like, 2-3 days), I should be able to make it.
