-Razor sharp beak and talons ready to turn you into strips of bacon
-Sharp eyesight, fast in both actions and reactions

-Throwing knives (Two dozen of them kept in the pouch on his right leg)
-A silver butterfly knife that he seems to enjoy slicing people up with multiple times BEFORE killing them
-Flames hot enough to skip the whole cooking process and turn you straight into ashes

Worst Class: Human Studies

Weakness:
-He gets very lethargic in warm places due to his naturally high body temperature.
-Though his tears have healing properties, he can’t heal himself. He can heal anyone else, though. If he wants to. Which is rare.
-His fire attacks are hopelessly weak to water and earth, since water drowns out his flames while earth simply smothers them.
-Wounds he gets from water and earth spells take a longer time to heal on him than it would normally.
-Has a bad habit of over-exerting himself in terms of fire magic when fighting and, depending on how long the fight is, may pass out right after.

Major skills:
-He’s completely immune to fire. You can douse him in oil and set him alight and he’ll just laugh. Then he’ll kill you for burning his clothes. Particularly his hat. His magic alternates between having to mutter small chants or simply waving a hand. The former used for precise or complex spells while the latter is used for general fireballs.
-Using fire is second nature to him but as a result of his rebirth, his skills are still rusty. Thanks to that, he can still use fire spells with relative ease though the complex ones are still too difficult for him to master.
-….Does the ability to stand extreme cold count?

Minor skills:
-When he cries, which he can at will, his tears can heal the most severe injuries. While this works on everyone except himself, it does have its limits. The injury must be fresh. He can't cure scars. While he can heal physical wounds (like gashes) and non-physical wounds (like poison), things like severed limbs are beyond his power. The most he can do is stop the bleeding. For some reason though, using this skill in his glamor tires him.

History:
Vitalis is, as stated, a phoenix. Born from the ashes of his previous life, he remembers everything from his first life to his latest life. Upon rebirth, he spent the first few years simply recollecting the basics such as flying, talking and hunting. It was during these few years where he relished fights and was sadistic to a fault. After that, he calmed down somewhat and decided to explore the world to add to his already extensive knowledge. Unfortunately, flying around as a flaming bird has its drawbacks. Such as people trying to catch you to cut your head off and make you into a trophy. Vitalis found this out the hard way. He had stopped for a rest and before he knew it. He was caged up and about to be gunned to death. He managed to escape by incinerating both cage and captors and, after much panicking decided that he really needed to find an alternative method of travel. Eventually, he found the school called Monster Academy and barely hesitated to enroll himself.

Glamor: A gold armband on his left upper arm, just above the school armband. The armband has an open section where, when he takes the form of a phoenix, it rests on the top of his wing much like a wing tag, without impeding his movements.

Personality:
-Confident
-Lazy ass
-Loves jumping into fights and is always ready for one
-Strangely nice to kids (well, he won’t threaten to blow them up, anyway….)
-May appear rash at first but he’s also quick at assessing things.
-May or may not act like an ass upon first meeting and usually just stares at someone he doesn't know, trying to guess what they are, manner be damned.
-Calmer and slightly friendlier upon second meeting onwards, if the first one didn’t end badly. Scratch that, he'll only SEEM friendlier if he gets along well with the person.
-Calls people names only to try and start a fight.
-Can be a little random at times. Usually shows up in the form of commenting on something he does.
-Not good at sympathy. At all.
-Very bad at drinking. He'll get drunk extremely quickly and gets very affectionate when he's drunk. Therefore creeping the hell out of people who know him until he passes out.

Likes: Playing with his knife. His hat. Blowing stuff up. Stuff that blow up. Fighting. Someone running their hand along his spine (though he will never admit it)

Dislikes: Warm places. People who damage/touch his hat. Being bored. Spinach. Being restrained in any way (this includes rules but he tolerates the ones at the academy. He still wants to explore the outside world without being made into a trophy.)

ETC:
-He actually wears a singlet under his jacket. He never wears any other kind of shirt.
-When he's reading or writing or doing anything that doesn't involve him walking around of beating shit up, he ties his hair up in a low ponytail.
-The phoenix rebirth cycle has a 'random function' in it. Depending on his luck, Vitalis' ability to turn into a human temporarily was decided upon rebirth. His luck held until his fifth (current) rebirth where he found out that that ability was lost. (Note: This doesn't mean that he definitely won't get the ability on his next rebirth. It's a 50:50 chance)
-If he had the ability to turn into a human, he would look different from his glamor. His skin would be darker and his hair redder. And, obviously, he would look a LOT younger.
-He can't swim. ("I've gone through over a millennium without having to swim and I don't see why the hell I should start!" Yes, yes.)
