I can't help but wonder if what happened to Stygian is similar or identical to what happened with Luna. Thinking on it, both Nightmare Moon and the Pony of Shadows manifested from similar mental and emotional states.

so um, I kind jumped the gun already, but would it be okay if I use a partial image of this for cover art on a short fanfic about stygian being corrupted? you would, naturally, be credited.
Please say yes, this is the coolest art I've found of the pony of shadows, there really doesn't seem to be many that captured the sheer creepiness of the design.

Are we going to talk about how dang creepy this was? Because that's some Zalgo shit right there. I'm getting flashbacks to that old Loony Luna blog. Even the show itself showed him getting pitch black gunk into his eyes. Probably hurt too. Image one of the Mane 6 getting whacked with that...
The villain was really well animated though.
